π Synopsis
From the brilliant minds of Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell, with music and lyrics by Wayne and Karey Kirkpatrick, comes Something Rotten! — a Tony-nominated musical sensation that will have you rolling in the aisles.
Set in the golden age of the Renaissance, this musical follows brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom, two playwrights struggling to make their mark in the shadow of a certain rockstar named Shakespeare. Desperate for a hit, they turn to a soothsayer who predicts that the future of theater involves... singing, dancing, and acting all at once!
The Bottom brothers set out to create the world’s very first musical, leading to a wild ride of mistaken identities, over-the-top production numbers, and laugh-out-loud references to classic Broadway hits. Whether you love musicals, Shakespeare, or just need a good belly laugh — this is the show for you!
